Cepham Life Sciences DNA-Gone Surface Decontaminant is a powerful ready-to-use surface decontaminant solution.
It has been designed to remove DNA contamination from laboratory surfaces, equipment, and instruments, and is suitable for PCR equipment, laboratory glassware, plasticware, and stainless steel lab surfaces.
Decontamination begins immediately after spraying the DNA-Gone Surface Decontaminant onto a contaminated surface. Conventional DNA contamination solutions do not completely degrade DNA, but only alter it to the extent that amplification is no longer possible. DNA-Gone Surface Decontaminant, on the other hand, destroys the DNA on a variety of surfaces much more effectively, by means of non-enzymatic degradation of nucleic acids, making amplification by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) no longer feasible. Even short incubation times of 10-15 minutes with DNA-Gone Decontaminant completely remove unwanted DNA from work surfaces and equipment. The DNA-Gone is neither toxic to humans nor corrosive to laboratory materials and has a shelf life of 12+ months.
DNA-Gone Decontaminant is available in different sizes as spray bottles: 250 mL, 500 mL, 1 L, 4 x 250 mL, 2 x 500 mL and 1 GAL Refill Pack (without spray head).
Application:
Accidental carry-over of DNA can falsify analytical results and potentially compromise biosafety. To ensure safe workflow and accurate PCR analysis, thorough decontamination of surfaces and equipment is essential to make it free from any residual DNA .
