General description

Nucleotides serve as the monomers, or subunits, of nucleic acids (like DNA and RNA). As the building blocks of nucleic acids, nucleotides consist of a nitrogenous base (purine or pyrimidine), a five-carbon sugar (ribose or deoxyribose), and a phosphate group. A nucleoside along with a phosphate group yields a nucleotide. dNTP mix is routinely used during DNA amplification by PCR. The product is provided as a convenient premixed dNTP solution containing dATP, dCTP, dGTP and dTTP salts in high quality molecular biology grade water, suitable for routine and long PCR, manual and automated DNA sequencing, cDNA synthesis and labeling reactions.
