Product Description
Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) 1X is a balanced salt solution without calcium and magnesium, used in cell culture and upstream process development. PBS acts as a buffer to help maintain pH in cell culture media and is well suited for washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissue, diluting cells for counting, and preparing reagents.
PBS is filtered through 0.1 μm filtered, filled handled aseptically and each lot of PBS solutions are subjected to sterility test, pH, osmolality and endotoxin.
The composition of PBS is as follows:
137 mM NaCl, 2.7 mM KCl, 10 mM Na2HPO4, and 2.0 mM KH2PO4, pH 7.4 at 25℃.
